Today we went swimming at the Spring Lake Fitness and Aquatic Center (SLFAC). It was our first time swimming since November. First, we had a review on what we had learned in November. Then, we started running, swimming, and jumping in the current of Lazy River. Last, we had free time for the rest of the time. Anja, Alishia, Bella, and I played basketball with the hoop they had above in the pool.

Yesterday, Sheepshank Sam came to our school. Collin, Allison, and I were helping out during the show. We were dressed up in some of the weirdest costumes. Sheepshank Sam told us we couldn’t talk while we ate because we were being real lumberjacks and lumberjacks don’t talk while they eat. I wore a costume that to me it was hot and stuffy. We also got to chop wood and be like horses.

Were going on April 17th and April 23rd. Swimming is so much fun. I hope we see the lifeguard I talked about in one of my previous posts.
Also, on May 26-27 we are going to Mackinac Island. We are getting there by bus. Also, we get to stay overnight! I hope we take a carriage ride. I know we are going on a tour of the island.

I read a book called Lost and Found By Andrew Clements. It is Realistic Fiction and is about two twin brothers who find out there’s one folder for one brother but not the other.

I want to share some information with you about my book. The title of my book is Train To Midnight. It is written by Janie Lynn Panagopoulos. I am on page 73, so far this story is about so far two kids traveling along the Underground Railroad. One adult named Daniel is helping them because he is a Quaker. The two kids are going to Canada to find their mom who ran away. It takes place in the 1800’s in Ohio. One of my favorite characters is Malaika because she takes good care of her brother. I would recommend this book because it’s full of action and suspense.

That made me think about all the things I did and didn’t know about him. I knew he was born on January 15, 1929. I also knew that he made his speech on August 28, 1963. Plus, I knew he won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 for his peaceful nonviolent work in the Civil Rights Movement. He was also the youngest to win it. I also know unfortunally he was assasinated on April 4, 1968. I also wrote an I Have a Dream Speech but it won’t be as famous as Dr. King’s. Just click below to hear it.

In November, 4th Grade went to the Spring Lake Fitness and Aquatic Center(SLFAC). At the Aquatic Center there was a lifegaurd who kept pushing Anja and I in the pool with his floaty thingy. So Anja and I called him PhillBillyBobJoeMike (his real name was Mike.) Before we left we while we were waiting we put our hair up like in the picture. Then all the boys started copying us. We also started picking on PhillBillyBobJoeMike. It was a fun morning at the Aquatic Center.
